It's well-known that having plants in your home is as good for your health as your happiness.
Here we compiled a list of 10 plants and 2 herbs that are known to bring you good health, love and good luck.
One of the most popular of plants in feng shui practices, The Money Tree is known for increasing and locking in, or securing, luck and prosperity for those who possess it. This 'locking in' is aptly symbolized by the braided trunk of the tree. What's more is that this tree, under the right humid conditions, will both flower and produce edible nuts.
So even though it will never actually grow money, it certainly is a tree that keeps on giving.
Now this is a plant with some history! Lucky bamboo has been used for over 5, 000 years in traditional feng shui practices. It is said to "bring a very peaceful and wise energy into your home.
Offices and homes alike are adorned with the plant said to bring us health, love, and of course, luck. Aside from the promise of prosperity, this plant offers a vibrant green accent to any space.
This deep green plant with gorgeous bright white blooms helps humans prosper by significantly improving their indoor air quality, helping to prevent asthma, headaches, chronic illness, cancers and more.
The Peace Lily does all that simply by being there in your home.
Peace lilies are great for offices to create a sense of calm during a hectic day or in bedrooms to provide a sense of tranquility and restful sleep. As a gift, peace lilies are a sign of good will.
Morning glories in the garden are said to bring peace and happiness and its seeds under your pillow encourage restful sleep.
These pretty summer flowers open their prolific bell-shaped blooms in the early morning before the summer's midday heat, so it's not surprisingly they have earned their reputation for helping to brighten your day.
The jade plant (crassula ovata) is another popular good luck charm in Asia thought to activate financial energies. This beautiful succulent has vibrant green leaves symbolic of growth and renewal, closely resembling jade coins, symbolic of wealth and prosperity.
Jade is a traditional gift for businesses and many business owners place a jade plant near the entrance, or in a southeast location to bring prosperity and success.
Lilies paired with lotus flowers bring luck and purity to a garden. Just be mindful that to maintain positive energy, you must remove wilted or spent flowers and trim any dead or dying parts from the plant.
Jasmine attracts love and money into your home. Jasmine oil is known for being one of the most powerful aphrodisiacs, so this is a fantastic plant for single babes or anyone wanting to keep the romance alive! Jasmine flowers are often worn by high priestesses. Incredibly, jasmine flowers open at night, which, to my mind, makes them even cooler.
As well as being bright and happy, lemons are a fantastic thing to have around the house!
They symbolise purification and friendship, and it's said that if you wear diluted lemon oil during the full moon, it will help you attune with its energies.
Roses are said to have the highest vibration of all living things.
They attract love, healing and luck, offer protection and healing, and help with divination of all kinds.
The color of your rose has a meaning, too. White: Purifying and healing, positive energy. White with red details: Devotion and passion. Peach: Peace, spirituality and friendship. Pink: Romantic love, sweetness, fun and play.
They represent love: they attract love, soothe the soul, and deepen friendships. The ancient Greeks associated orchids with fertility and virility, which makes them a great gift for new parents!
In this list I would love to add two herbs as well.
Rosemary increases your brain power, can help you get a good night's rest, and keep you youthful (well, so they say)!
This herb attracts love, has properties of protection and purification, helps with healing
Sage is well-known for its qualities of protection. It also represents longevity, wisdom.

Accessories: Candy or Kitchen Thermometer, Wooden Spatula, Wick Stickers, centering device (popsicle stick, clothes pin).
Wax. There are three primary types to choose from in the candle-making world. We suggest using Soy Wax, it's eco-friendly and long lasting. see other choices below
Beeswax. The oldest candle-making ingredient; beeswax candles have been found in the great pyramids of Egypt. It’s produced by bees, and is a byproduct of the honey-making process. It has a naturally golden color, as well as a subtle, sweet scent. A natural product, the natural scent will interfere with any that you try to artificially add.
Paraffin. The traditional wax used in candle-making for hundreds of years, and is still the most popular ingredient for candles. It’s cheap, and you can easily add colors and scents. The primary concern with paraffin is its potentially toxic nature. Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct.
Soy. Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. It was created in the ’90s when the “natural” movement started to gain steam. It’s generally made with soybean oil.
Wicks. The wrong wick can ruin your homemade candle. Your primary concern is size, which is really width. (most are simply sized “small,” “medium,” or “large”).
Fragrance Oils. There are hundreds of natural scents to choose from, keywords are Vegan, Pure Essential Oils, Natural, Raw Botanical, No Phthalates. In addition to pure natural essential oils and extracts, they also contain naturally-derived aromatic isolates such as limonene (citrus peel) and vanilla that are isolated from natural, raw botanical ingredients like lemons, roses and vanilla beans. Apply Approx, 1oz of Fragrance per 1lb of Wax = (2) 8oz Candles
Double Boiler. You can use a true double boiler if you’d like, but I went with a universal model that just sits on top of any pot you already have, and it’s worked great.
Container(s). Coffee mugs, glassware, mason jars — anything that can withstand heat can be used as a container for a candle
nstructions for making soy candles
1. Melt the wax using a double boiler or wax melter
2. Place the wick in the container, then pinch the top end of the wick with a clothespin and set the pin across the top of the container, keeping the wick centered and upright.
3. Pour temps depend on the wax and flash points of the fragrance. We suggest to add the fragrance at 175 for C3 Soy Wax, stir slowly for 1 minute. Let the wax cool (the temperature of the wax should be about 160 degrees then add of fragrance oil., stir again briefly til smooth.
4. Pour the wax into the container slowly, leave some room at the top. If you have leftover wax, let it harden and then save it in a container for later use.
5. Let the wax harden overnight. The next day, trim the wick, and your soy candle is complete!
]]>All plants need food, water and sunlight to survive. But different plants require different amounts of each.
1. Water - Water your plants as per their needs. Plants need water, but not too much or too little. Most plants like having their roots consistently moist, but not wet. You need to provide your plant with consistent water. Most of our indoor plants have coco peat as a base. Best way to check if you need to water the plant or not is to check the coco peat and see how dry it is and water accordingly. If the coco peat is turning light brown and looks dry, you need to water the plant. But at the same time, you need to ensure that there is no clogging of water at the bottom. The best way to check this is to but your finger in the coco peat and check whether it is dry or moist from inside.
2. Light - The next most important thing is light. Some plants require proper sunlight; on the other hand some might easily live without natural light or dim light.
For example- a lucky bamboo plant can do with moderate levels of indirect light. But a Bonsai needs at least 3-4 hours of sunlight on daily bases. Most foliage plants can do with little or no sunlight. You need to understand the light requirement of your plant and then find the best suitable place for the plant in your home or office. Another critical factor here is to avoid temperature shocks for the plant.
3. Preventing pest problems - Dirt clogs on the pores of the plant which makes it difficult to respire. You must wash the leaves of your plant several times a month. Easy way to do this is use a water spray. So every now and then you can supply spray water on the leaves.
4. Pruning of yellow leaves - Leaves can turn yellow for a couple of reasons. One of the main reasons why leaves start turning yellow and then brown is dryness. If the plant is dry it will tend to wilt and the leaves will start turning yellow. The second reason why this happens is that some disease is affecting the plant or there is fungal activity. It is important to understand the reason for yellowing the leaves, take care of that reason and also prune the yellow leaves so that they do not affect the rest of the plant. An easy way to prune yellow leaves is to use a pair of pruning shears or a simple scissors for foliage plants.
5. Food - Food plays an important role in nurturing of plants. An important food for plants other than water is NPK, which you must add to the plant base once in 4-6 months. It is a must for Foliage plants and Bonsais, but not needed in Lucky Bamboo plants.
These are a few very basic things that you need to take care of for a healthy lush green plant.
Plants need proper care.

As it is very much important for us to be comfortable even during travel. These are some of the garbs you might want to take a look to determine from.
Dress up comfortably- Dressing up comfortably is a must. You won't want to wear your tight jeans for travelling. Wearing some trousers, joggers who have some room in them are ideal to wear for a journey. Wearing fitting t-shirts or shirts in which we feel tight is never comfortable to wear for an expedition.
